SPRING SEASON TIPS

Pruning Perennials

Many perennials and small shrubs will respond favorably to being pruned after their spring blooming period. Removing the old flower stalks on plants like brittle bush, angelita daisies, and salvia can stimulate them to produce new growth. This causes the plants to look healthier throughout the rest of the year, and they will produce an abundance of blooms the following season.
